JEBEL ALI FREEZONE
Jebel Ali Free Zone was founded by Sheikh Zayed, father of Sheikh Mohammed and his brothers. It was the first free trade zone in Dubai, and is one of the biggest free ports of the world. DP World ("Dubai Port World) was big in the press when it invested in American harbours, leading to protests by Americans fearful about harbour security being managed by an Arab country.
